Butterfly

Butterfly

Walking on a way home,
Walking on the same path.
A road of sunny and gay,
Now gloomy and sad.

I must have slept and miss my stop,
but I was wide awake  with it on my lap.
A radiant glow on my face,
Which lost after may day.

Pleasures of once knowing,
Binds my heart that is burning.
How can a butterfly hurts?
And stings in my hands.

I never believe what was said,
cause' I know better than plead.
There's more to love than to brag,
In the end, it will all come out.

In the garden, to see.
Butterfly flies so free.
To choose where to go.
To choose where to be.

....I couldn't came up with a better introduction for this poem I just created but it's just one of those randomness days that I can create poems such as this. I have never known such feeling of wanting to be in the same moment but different time. Wherein you can possibly do whatever you can so freely like a butterfly....

I leave you with a song I had on my background while writing this poem,

Bangon Pilipinas

It's heart breaking the situation in Tacloban, dead people everywhere but left unburied. Hungry survivors with no shelter to sleep. Bruised children wearing dirty clothes and no slippers on their feet. It's too painful to watch news lately and words are not even enough to express such sorrow and tragedy. Although its amazing how people all over different countries reach their helping hands towards the Philippines and thankful to all the kind souls who donated, extend their prayers and even came here to take part and volunteer. From the bottom of my Pinoy Heart;

"Maraming maraming salamat po"
which means "Thank you, very much" .

Many of you might also feel that our government could have done better and I couldn't agree more but no one is to blame. Nobody wants what had happened in Tacloban. But our country was not prepared for such hulking calamity. I think being among the third world country, this is what you could expect but this does not mean we are not improving. I am deeply saddened by the recent news and I'm compelled to urge the government to realize Yolanda came for a purpose although devastating that the lives of many had to suffer. There is still hope for the Philippine government and I believe "Babangon ang Pilipinas". For the President, "CHANGE is POSSIBLE". A more HONEST and LOVING SERVICE among the Filipinos disregard past conflicts and work for the common good. Focus on the "real issue" and not political gain. Learning from these experiences is good but people need action for such crisis. If the nation's ordinary people can measure great ways to implement rescue and emergency management the government must know it all at first hand. Officials can learn a lot from volunteers, giving without asking, ready and so eager to be use for the sole purpose of helping the needy even if the only thing they can take home is "JOY" of knowing even for a minute they have serve their purpose to make this nation a better place and for us its more than enough.

Here a video of Tacloban then and now...

The Filipino Spirit Is Waterproof

These past few days maybe you have heard about the "Super Typhoon" Yolanda that hit our country and had caused tremendous damage to my mother's hometown Tacloban, Leyte. It was devastating to see how vastly damage it is. My heart breaks for the many people who have lost their loved ones. I haven't heard from some of my relatives living there and still praying for their safety and hoping all of those who have survived will find food, shelter and comfort. In this time of great need, I'm hopeful that soon this too shall pass. Our country have experienced the worst typhoon ever known yet still standing. If there is one thing I'm truly proud of my fellow Filipinos would be their capacity to withstand trials with a glowing spirit. To be generous despite lacking, happiness in times of despair, and a hope during discouragements. Unites as one in every part of the world and if you are one of my "kababayans" you would understand when I say let's "kapit bisig" there is no exact words to describe it in English but I think the closest would be "To hold  each others arms" and "Sujetar los brazos" in Spanish. It's now a known way of living when every one unite to do their part in helping each member of the family who needed help. For me, the best way to really help is by volunteering but nowadays there are tons of ways to extend our hands even in a distance.

Sharing to you some of the organizations I am part of:

1. UNICEF
3. ABS-CBN

Come and join me to help the needy like what Mother Teresa once said:

“It's not how much we give
but how much love we put into giving.”
― Mother Teresa

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and let's continue to pray for all the people of the Visayas region. Praying that people who have lost will find comfort, to those who have not yet been found may find peace, and to those who have survived will find joy despite of what had happened. The joy of knowing that God has given them another lifetime to live.

Chasing Cars

I was listening to this song "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol and I got hooked. I have heard it way back but it never made sense to me. I guess one of the ways to appreciate a good song is when at a given moment you can somehow relate to its meaning. Despite the tragedy of what is happening you choose to see the good side of things and no matter how unrealistic things may seem you still think somehow it could work ergo "Chasing Cars".

"Chasing Cars"

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Dream

It's been a while since I wrote something here, but life changing experiences always is to blame. I can never say that it's all for the better but all I know was I learned new things. This is probably the most random blog I could write for this year. Well, I guess I didn't wrote a lot for this year to include this one. Anyways, I woke up this morning and I feel soulful like I always been. If there's any change in my life that I would really be proud of? Is my choice of music. Music has always been there for me, bless my parents for my name. I'm really starting to love it. But I always change my choice of music depending on the mood it sets me. Today is one of them. I am up for a poem I guess the first to be posted out of the many I have written. This will be a treat for someone I know.

Dream

In the past months, I have been out in the world.
Lost in the silence of the noisy streets.
I have felt sorrow and happiness
Both at the same time.

Couldn't explain but couldn't hide.
It was raining of black and white.
It doesn't feel cold nor warm either.
Only sound of gushing time.

I hear you but nowhere to find.
I feel you but you're never here.
I can't see you but I know you were near.
Woke up in my bed, it was just a dream.

You were just a dream.
Unreal a fantasy built in my head.
Lies of the past experiences.
But the one I would like to  keep.

Redemption

....Fallen short of life treachery, lies and deception. Intrigued by gossips, cheating and envy. When everyone wants a piece of you and drowned by their eyes around you. There's always redemption....

REDEMPTION
Artist: The Strange Familiar
Composers: Kira Leyden, Jeff Andrea, Nicholas Sainato

The night is slowly closing
But my eyes are slowly opened
And I see that somewhere in you
There is a good heart
There is a good soul

For everyone lost in the silence
For every one missing piece
For every will that is broken
No matter how dark it may be
There is redemption

I feel the threat of thunder
But this rain can't last forever
The light chases the dark
Where there's a good heart
There is a good soul

For everyone lost in the silence
For every one missing piece
For every will that is broken
No matter how dark it may be
There is redemption
There is redemption

Oh oh oh

For everyone lost in the silence
There is redemption

For everyone lost in the silence
For every one missing piece
For every will that is broken
No matter how dark it may be
There is redemption
There is redemption
