Have you heard about Ophiuchus?


Park Kunkle, an Astronomer who was interviewed in NBC said the addition of Ophiuchus on the Zodiac is because of the Earth's alignment to the sun has changed position over 3,000 years ago. Astronomers have decided it has to be rearranged today.

I, on the other-hand was born on the 14th of February. I used to be the most unique, the loyal and the most friendly sign among the stars "the water bearer" the "peculiar one"... "the Aquarius"...

Not until, today... but putting my frustration aside I googled Ophiuchus for a while and the name itself scared the crap-out-of-me....

"The 13th sign Ophiuchus - The serpent holder"... the serpent holder?

Isn't a "serpent" was the representation of Satan in the bible!?....


but,

Actually, its one of the 48 constellation described by Ptolemy. Astrologers said they did not included it on the zodiac because they were concerned for the sun travels around Ophiuchus was for only 19 days. It is also considered the only constellation patterned after a man. Strangely, Ophiuchus also represents Imhotep which was according to Egyptian 3rd Dynasty he was second in command under Pharoah Djoser who believed to be the replica of Joseph, "the dreamer" in the bible.

Hmmm...... Therefore,

My Analysis of this fact perhaps Joseph had save Egypt from the depths of famine at the time which may represent the "serpent" and Joseph carrying the serpent to protect humankind.... Thus, identifying him with Ophiuchus....

Such an interesting fact for a bizarre name... ^_^
